The Library has put out copies of The Circus in Winter for sale. Each copy is $8.00. We hope you get a copy soon so more can be ordered if needed. We encourage you and a group of friends to get together and read the book. If I can be of any assistance in facilitating a book discussion, please let me know.
Also, the presentations by Bill Anderson and Mike Beauchamp will both be at the Wabash Carnegie Public Library starting at 6:30 p.m. Bill Anderson will be doing his program on the history of the Circus in Winter on August 7th (Thursday). Mike Beauchamp will be doing a presentation on Terrell Jacobs on August 19th (Tuesday). Both events should be quite worthwhile and we hope to see then.

Catch the reading bug this summer
As summer approaches, we at the Wabash Carnegie Public Library invite you to come join us at the Library for some summer fun, particularly for children and teens. From June 2 to July 30, the Library's Summer Reading Program will be in session. The theme is Catching the Reading Bug. There are various activities for youth of all ages planned and we hope you join us. A number of special guests will be joining us including the Spoon Man, Dr. Insecta, and live animals from the Fort Wayne Zoo. For our young adults, there will be a Summer Smoothie Party and a Murder Mystery. Please check our website or stop by for further information.
Although summer is starting and activities are geared toward the outdoors, we invite you to continue to stop by the library and check out items for your reading pleasure. On a beautiful sunny day, what better than to be outside reading a good book whether it be a mystery, suspense, etc. Are you taking a trip? We have books on tape or CD to check out for those drives in the car. Regardless of your plans, we at the Wabash Carnegie Public Library want to help make it the best summer possible.
Have a great and safe summer!

Our Spring Book Discussion is soon approaching. Lottie Waggoner will be leading the discussion on three novels. We are excited that she will be leading the discussions and thank her for her time and expertise. The novels are Alias Grace, Woman Warrior, and The Known World. The Library will have dates and times very soon. We are excited and hope you join us for these wonderful discussions led by Lottie Waggoner.
As 2008 gets underway, we at the Wabash Carnegie Public Library strive to provide the best service we can. If there are things we as a staff can do better as a library, I welcome your commments/suggestions and will do my best to address them. Finally, let me thank the Trustees of the Wabash Carnegie Public Library for the opportunity to serve you. If one asked if I loved my work and Wabash, I would say yes to both.
